Private School Vouchers and Accountability
Jordan Wheatley believes when taxpayer dollars are going to private schools through the education savings account program, then transparency and public accountability must accompany public funding. Private schools should be held to the same standards, rules and laws that public schools are! This means they take the same tests, are required to provide the same services, and evaluated in the same way that public schools are.
He also believes policymakers should carefully consider how participating schools are held accountable for educational outcomes, student protections, and the services they provide. Jordan believes public policy should put students first and ensure taxpayers can see whether their investment is delivering results.
