When we talk about Medicaid expansion, we aren’t just talking about numbers, we are talking about our neighbors right here in McKinney. There’s Cal, a little boy fighting for his life. But instead of being able to focus entirely on his recovery, his parents are being forced to spend thousands of dollars out of their own pockets every single month just to keep him alive.

Texas is the world’s 8th largest economy, but it has one of the highest uninsured rates in the nation. Expanding Medicaid could bring substantial federal healthcare funding into Texas, help eligible Texans access coverage, and provide critical support to rural hospitals.

For Jordan, this is about putting people first. He believes Texas should pursue policies that expand access to care, strengthen healthcare systems, and help families avoid financial devastation when medical emergencies arise.
